Google and Energy Dome building a CO2 battery – does this change anything for mining?

Honestly never heard of CO2 batteries before. 200MWh in Ireland, Google backing it — that’s not small change. I keep seeing these massive energy storage announcements and wondering if they’ll ever trickle down to make mining more renewable-friendly. Right now BTC up 1% and ETH almost same, fear index still at 15 — nobody’s celebrating, but stuff like this could shift the narrative if it scales.

Not saying pow is suddenly green, but every time big tech drops real money into non-lithium storage it makes the “bitcoin uses too much dirty energy” argument a bit weaker. And Ireland? Lots of wind, good testbed. I’m just waiting to see if any mining pools start plugging into these things. Probably not soon, but worth keeping an eye on.
